Dear Scottish Public Pensions Agency,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Scottish Public Pensions Agency's handling of my FOI request 'Alteration to member's Guide (follow up)'.

Referring to point 4 in my FOI request, it would seem that the search carried out on your organisations paper records was somewhat lacking. I have knowledge of two pieces of paper correspondence, within the time scale covered by my FOI request, which are related to the matter in question (letter dated 31st August 2012 and letter dated 14th September 2012). As I already have copies of these items, I do not require further copies, but, as they have been missed by your initial search, I request that a further, more rigorous search is made to uncover any further items requested in my FOI which may have been overlooked, in the manner of the correspondence I mention above.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:
http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/al...

Yours faithfully,

R I Wardrope

Scottish Public Pensions Agency

Dear Mr Wardrope,

Thank you for your request of 14^th December 2012 for a review of our
recent response to you under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act
2002 (FOISA). The request concerned the removal of the words ‘ill health’
from page 29 of the Scottish teacher’s Superannuation Scheme Guide and you
asked for a review of the response to the fourth part of this request.

Pamela Brown (Director of Operations at SPPA) has been asked to carry out
a review as she was not involved in handling your original request.  She
will be looking at the case afresh to establish whether the original
response should be confirmed (with or without modifications) or a fresh
decision should be substituted.

We received your review request on 17^th December 2012, and Mrs Brown will
respond in accordance with FOISA by 17^th January 2013.  If you have any
queries, please contact me quoting case number FOI 12/01620.

Yours sincerely,

Jonathan Sharp

Dear Scottish Public Pensions Agency,

To clarify, as the search for information in part 4 of my request seemed to miss relevant documents, my request for review, relates to all parts of my original FOI request excluding part 1, as relevant documents may have also been overlooked, in parts 2,3 and 5.

Yours faithfully,

R I Wardrope

Scottish Public Pensions Agency

Dear Mr Wardrope,

Requested a decision by ICO(Scotland) (17/04/2013)
Received decision 07/06/2013, SPPA complied with FOISA 2002 Part 1.

Appears that alteration to guide was made with no documented discussion or other paper trail.
