Dear Moira Warren,

Thank you for the reponse. Could I please ask you to clarify a couple of points?

In the reply to Q3 you say that "we have approximately 30 people on waiting lists". Could you please confirm how many sites and how many plots the waiting list covers?

Many thanks,

Margaret Campbell

Hi Ms Campbell

Please find attached a list of sites and their vacant plots. This was compiled from a snapshot of the sites were able to contact last week. I hope this meets your requirements, if not please let me know.

Dear Moira Warren,

Thank you for the further information which you've sent, but it doesn't seem to provide the data that I was requesting.

I'll try to rephrase the questions to clarify.

1) How many allotment sites, in total, does the council have waiting list data for?

2) What is the total number of plots on these sites (ie only on those sites for which the council has waiting list data)?

3) What is the total number of people waiting for a plot on these sites?

Many thanks,

Margaret Campbell

Afternoon Margaret,

Thanks for the clarification, it does help though I'm not sure it will
help you as much, but here goes;

All 31 allotment sites in Wolverhampton have a site secretary, their role
is to monitor vacancies and keep waiting lists of prospective tenants,
when a plot becomes vacant the secretary contacts the first person on the
waiting list and offers them the vacant plot. The council  refer enquiries
to the relevant site secretary and sort the tenancy agreements but we
leave allocation to secretary's as they are better placed to show tenants
around the plots etc.

At this point in time we have no need to keep precise details of waiting
lists or vacancies and find our system works well in Wolverhampton..

If you require more info Margaret please come back to me, I'm happy to do
all I can to help.
