Allotment waiting list data
Dear Sir or Madam,
As of December 2008, please could you tell me:
1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which the council has access to waiting list data?
2) How many plots are on these sites?
3) How many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?
Yours faithfully,
Margaret Campbell
Dear Sir or Madam,
On 22nd December I submitted a Freedom of Information request, and have not yet had a response. By law, the response had to be prompt, but no later than 23rd January 2009.
Please could you follow this up.
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Campbell

Dear Ms Campbell,
I can now provide you with most of the information you requested. To
simplify the response I have listed each question in turn, which I hope
makes sense! One site - Faircross - is self managed by the allotment
holders.
1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which the
council has access to waiting list data? 9 - The numbers for each site are
the respective waiting lists. It is worth pointing out that some people
can be on up to 3 waiting lists at the same time.
a. Goldcroft - 28
b. Green Lane - 36
c. Grove - 34
d. Rodwell/Longhill - 18
e. Parsons Close - 11
f. Sandsfoot - 32
g. Quibo Lane - 32
h. Westham Crossroads - 43
i. White Roughet - 9
2) How many plots are on these sites? There are approximately 550 plots
spread across
3) How many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment? See
Question 1
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications? No
waiting lists are closed
5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area? 10 - the
tenth - Faircross - is self managed and to get the specific details we
would have to contact the group. Do you want us to do that or are you
content to leave that bit of information out?
I hope that this information is of use and once again I must apologise for
missing your request. As we have missed the set response time, you are
entitled to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Their
contact details are below.

Dear David Sinclair,
Many thanks for your prompt and thorough response to my email. I don't need the waiting list data from the privately managed site.
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Campbell
