Dear Karthikeyan Velmurugan
FOI 25795
Thank you for your request for information received on 08 June
2021 concerning Allocation and Vacant positions for Grammar Schools.
This request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
I can confirm that Buckinghamshire Council does hold information falling
within the description specified in your request.
Please find the relevant details below:
I would like to find out how many places has been allocated in 4th round
of allocations for the following schools, under which rules and their
distance.
The Council considers a ‘fewer than five’ to be an appropriate response. A
more accurate number or response to the questions asked, would potentially
release personal information where individuals could be identified, either
from this information alone, or a combination of this information and
other information otherwise available to the public.
Section 40(2) provides an exemption from disclosure for information that
is (a) the personal data of an individual other than the requester and (b)
where disclosure would breach any of the data protection principles in
Article 5 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
In this case disclosure of a more specific response to the questions asked
would be unfair to the individuals concerned.
1) Sir William Borlase's Grammar School – fewer than 5 places offered in
the 4^th round and currently no places to offer in the next allocation
round.
2) Wycombe High School, High Wycombe - fewer than 5 places allocated under
Rule 3.
3) How many vacant places to be allocated in 5th round for the above
schools - currently fewer than 5
