Summary:

Request for information relating to CCC use of Alliance and Leicester
commercial banking services

Question 1

Please can you provide all information relating to dealings that the
council district billing authority have, or have had with Alliance &
Leicester Commercial Bank?  Within the reply, please include the time
periods involved, arrangements in place, and any policies associated with
the above.

I am requesting this information with regards to both council tax and
non-domestic rates.

Our response:

Alliance and Leicester is not the bank used by Canterbury City Council and
has not had any contracts with the bank or aware of any policies relating
to it.  In respect of Council Tax and NNDR, it may be the case that some
customers have paid these bills using an Alliance and Leicester account
when the bank was in operation, however if this information were still
held it would be classed as personal data and therefore exempt from
disclosure in accordance with Section 40 of the Freedom of Information Act
2000.
