Please confirm the date that alleygates where erected in the alley way between 16 & 14 Stuart Road, Tranmere and who is presently responsible for the maintenance of said gates.
Please also confirm the household properties that were provided with corresponding keys to access passage through the gates.

Thank you for your recent FOI submitted under the Freedom of Information
Act 2000. Please see response below:
There is no reason to doubt that for the gate between 14 and 16 Stuart
Road, Tranmere (Gate No. 1013), the completion of the installation was 9th
Chapelgate Construction of Wallasey have the Service Level Agreement to
repair Wirral Council owned alleygates. They use a call centre that can be
contacted on 0151 606 5443. This number is available on all alleygates.
Before alleygates were installed, all those people whose legal access to
land being blocked by the alleygate needed to both be consulted and
unanimously approve. They were then given a free key before installation.
The addresses to whom each set of keys (unique to each alleygate) was
sent, is no longer available. However anyone looking at a detailed map or
walking in the alleyway can work it out for themselves with almost certain
Though there may be changes to properties / boundaries since the
installation in 2007, in 99% of cases all those people whose property
shares a border with the alleyway will have been given keys to that
Alleygate keys can be purchased for £15 by calling 606 5443.
If access to a Council-owned alleyway is blocked, any obstruction will be
removed by the Council.
