Dear Home Office,

I would like to know how many Ghost sightings, UFO Sightings, alleged paranormal activity and reports of witches and witchcraft and any other aspects that fall within the eclectic mix of the paranormal (zombies, poltergeists, excorcisms there were in the UK, please, over the last 10 years. Also if possible, the locations of these activities, the dates and times that they took place and any other information that is not subject to privacy laws and could be available in the public domain.

Yours faithfully,

Paul Stevenson

Realistically, the only possible response would be based on however many of this type of event/encounter were actually reported to the authorities.

Since such reports would almost certainly be 'local', it is very doubtful that meaningful statistics were collected or collated nationaly.

MOD would probably respond to UFO related requests - by refering you to publicly available sources and advising their own monitoring project on UFO's had been closed down some time ago.

Other forms of paranormal activity would not really fall inside the scope of other authorities - except possibly religious authorities.

My guess is your request either got 'misplaced' or was not taken seriously.
