All records pertaining to attack on the ships Cap Arcona, Deutschland, Thielbek and Athen on 3rd May 1945.

Royal Air Force did not have the information requested.

Dear Royal Air Force,

My Great Uncle Jackob Ritzema was killed in the attack by RAF Typhoons on the SS Cap Arcona/Deutschland/Thielbek/Athen on 3rd May 1945. He was transferred to Neuengamme from Amersfoort in March 45. He was a member of the Dutch Resistance and had been imprisoned for sheltering escapees in his cellar in Loppersum.

I am trying to establish if ALL the records around the attack on the 3rd May 1945 are sealed or are now available. If they are available I would like access to them please.

Yours faithfully,

Edmund O'Driscoll
