Dear UK Football Policing Unit,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of UK Football Policing Unit's handling of my FOI request 'All records held relating to Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon (aka Tommy Robinson)'.

case ref 50550

I am requesting an internal review on the basis that Tommy Robinson’s interactions and cases with the UK Football Policing Unit have been made public and therefore are already in the public domain. I believe that a personal data exemption under Section 40(5B) of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) has been misapplied.

Here are links to news articles and blogs providing my point stated above:

Tommy Robinson Wins Court Case Against Bedfordshire Police Over Football Banning Order - Huff Post https://m.huffingtonpost.co.uk/amp/entry...

Ex-EDL leader Tommy Robinson wins football ban court case against Bedfordshire police - IBT (https://amp.ibtimes.co.uk/ex-edl-leader-...)

I can provide more links as proof that Tommy Robinson’s interactions with the UK football policing unit are in the public domain and therefore I believe that the personal data exemption has been misapplied.

I am also requesting an internal review on the basis that the authority has failed under section 16 of the freedom of information act to provide advice and assistance as to where the information could be obtained under FOIA.

I am also requesting an internal review on the basis that the authority has failed to provide a prompt response to my original freedom of information request. The authority has 20 days from the date of receiving the request, unless an extension is issued, (to the best of my knowledge, no extension was issued) to reply in full to the request. My request was sent on 30 of September 2018, therefore, I should’ve received a fully response on the 26 of October, 2018, but did not receive a full reply until 15 November. I believe the authority has violated it obligation to provide a prompt response.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/a...

Yours faithfully,

The Irish Conservatives
