All Previous Premises License Database Extracts

The request was partially successful.

Dear Gambling Commission,

I am writing to request by FOI , all Premises License Extracts which you hold.

Currently, only the data from the latest month is available to download from your website, on this page: http://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/Fin...

I would greatly appreciate if you could provide me with all of the previous files. If they are in a different format, this would be OK to send, as I really just require the information.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Mr Handsley

Thank you for your request for information, below.

The premises database is a live system so we are unable to extract
historical data.  We have however located extracts that were created for
various reasons between 2009 and 2015 (please find these attached).  Due
to mailbox limitations we are unable to send standard excel attachments.
As a result please find attached a zip file containing all Premises
Licences databases currently held within the Commission. If you do have
any trouble accessing these do feel free to get in touch.

Please be advised that as we are reliant on Licensing Authorities to
provide this information, we cannot provide any assurance on the
completeness and accuracy of the data.  To get a more accurate picture,
you could approach the Local Authorities who will each have an up to date
and accurate register.

If you are interested in the number of premises in different gambling
sectors, you may find the Commission’s industry statistics document to be
of interest.  This gives premises numbers by gambling sector and is far
more accurate as it does not rely on the premises database for figures.
This is available here: [1]Industry Statistics

I hope you find this information useful.

Review of the decision

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to make a complaint or request a review of our decision,
you should write to Jenny Williams, Chief Executive, Gambling Commission,
4th floor, Victoria Square House, Victoria Square, Birmingham, B2 4BP.

If you are not content with the outcome of your complaint, you may apply
directly to the Information Commissioner (ICO) for a decision. Generally,
the ICO cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the complaints
procedure provided by the Gambling Commission.  The ICO can be contacted
at:  The Information Commissioners’ Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane,
Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.

Kind regards
