Dear Tower Hamlets Borough Council,
I would like all official documents relating to
1) West India Pier, Cuba St, E14 including ownership, property boundaries and rights/restrictions with regards to the Thames Path
2) ownership of the section of river wall/flood defence at the end of Cuba Street and if proven to be privately owned, Tower Hamlet's liability for damages caused to the flood defence following planning approval and subsequent development
3) Tower Hamlet's fiscal liability with regards to approving planning that will block access, or cause damage to, privately leased areas of the riverbank, i.e. Campshed located directly beside the West India Pier
4) Tower Hamlet's fiscal liability for planning application approval that negatively impacts local property values directly resulting from such approval and subsequent development.

Thank you for your request for information that was received on 23
November 2023 requesting:
1) West India Pier, Cuba St, E14 including ownership, property boundaries
and rights/restrictions with regards to the Thames Path
2) ownership of the section of river wall/flood defence at the end of Cuba
Street and if proven to be privately owned, Tower Hamlet's liability for
damages caused to the flood defence following planning approval and
subsequent development

We are dealing with your request under the Freedom of Information Act
2000 and we aim to send a response by 21 December 2023.
In some case, a fee may be payable. If we decide a fee is payable, we will
send you a fee notice and we will require you to pay the fee before
proceeding with your request.
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 may restrict the release of some or
all of the information you have requested. We will carry out an assessment
and if any exemptions apply to some or all of the information then we
might not provide that information to you. We will inform you if this is
the case and advise you of your rights to request an internal review and
to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
We will also advise you if we cannot provide you with the information
requested for any other reason together with the reason(s) why and details
of how you may appeal (if appropriate).

Thank you for your request for information, which is being considered
under the the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR).
I am writing to advise you that the time limit for responding to your
request for information under the Environmental Information Regulations
2004 needs to be extended. The Council is entitled to this extension of
time by an additional 20 working days under Regulation 7(1) of the EIR due
to the complexity and volume of the request.
I will respond to your request by 18th January 2024. However, if for any
reason
this cannot be achieved, I will let you know beforehand.
