All Hospitalisations and deaths within 21 days after a Covid vaccine inoculation.

Public Health Scotland did not have the information requested.

Dear Public Health Scotland,

The Scottish Government Chief Medical Officer's COVID-19 Advisory Group published in the Lancet “Characteristics and risk of COVID-19-related death in fully vaccinated people in Scotland (https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lance... https://doi.org/10.1016/S0140-6736(21)02...). In which the CMO defines COVID-19-related deaths in fully vaccinated individuals as death in those who tested positive by RT-PCR for SARS-CoV-2 at any timepoint more than 14 days after receiving their second dose of a covid vaccine and subsequently died with COVID-19 listed as an underlying or contributory cause of death on the death certificate. However, the finding was that most died with 3 comorbidities e.g.: Heart- or kidney disease, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and atrial fibrillation.

PHS COVID-19 & Winter Statistical Report Table 14 of week 8 – 14 Jan- ’22 shows that the age-standardized case rates per 100,000 people were the lowest in the unvaccinated cohort every week for the past four weeks. Even the triple-vaccinated have no efficacy against infection, although they have some degree less negative efficacy than the double-vaccinated. This also coincides with the latest data from the UKHSA which shows higher rates of infection among the triple-vaccinated in all but the youngest people. UKHSA data shows infection rate growth correlates with vaccination rate for age cohorts >50. The more highly vaxxed an age cohort is - whether fully vaxxed or boosted - the faster the infection rate growth. Tables 15 and 16 – the acute COVID hospitalization and death rates, respectively: shows that the double-vaccinated are worse off per capita even against critical illness. The report’s definitions shows that all cases during the first 21 days after the first shot are counted in the “unvaccinated” cohort, while the first 14 days after one receives the 3rd shot is counted among the two-dose cohort.

However, people are actually the most vulnerable to COVID during the first few weeks on the upswing of the antibodies, when T cells are likely suppressed: about 60% of the hospitalizations in the vaxxed cohort got COVID within 21 days of the shot. Further, from the Lancet study it appears that most deaths were caused by an organ failure occurring mostly within 14 days after the inoculation date. Both data challenges the use of the said 21 or 14 days after the inoculation date to denominated vaccinated.

The above was the content of FOI 202200279238 of 12 Nov- to the CMO, yet as he is unable to answer this, on 9 Feb- 2022 he advised me to direct the query of this FOI to the Gov or PHS.
Ergo, under FOIA 2020, please provide all hospitalisations and deaths occurring within 21 days after an inoculation either BNT162b2, ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 or mRNA-1273: Calculated as the age-standardized case rates for each vaccine- (after 1, 2 or 3 inoculation(s)) and for each age group.

Yours faithfully,
Muus Marees
