All discipliners for wilful internal tax credit fraud

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, HM Revenue and Customs should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear HM Revenue and Customs,

I would like to request information relating to gross misconduct cases for tax credit internal fraud and how many people were dismissed and how many were given other punishments such as a final written warning or no further action even if proven internal fraud took place. I request this information from the last 5 to 10 years.

Yours faithfully,

Mr Darren Lyons

Dear HM Revenue and Customs,

I would like to no, what tax credit when overpaid we’re written off due to HMRC advisor error, and tax credits overpaid to civil servants, how many were written off??

Yours faithfully,

Darren Lyons

Dear Mr Lyons,

Freedom of Information Act 2000 Acknowledgement

Thank you for your communication of 17th October which has been passed to
HMRC's Freedom of Information Team.

We have allocated the above reference which you should quote if you need
to contact us.

The Team will arrange for a reply to be sent to you which will either
comply with HMRC's obligations under Freedom of Information Act or, if we
think it's an enquiry that we don't need to address under the terms of the
Act, let you know why. If it is the latter we will, if possible, pass it
on to a more appropriate part of the Department for answer.

Yours sincerely

HMRC Freedom of Information Act Team
