Dear Somerset County Council,
You should not combine two FOIs to two separate public bodies like this.
The two FOIs are different too. They are NOT identical.
I need to see the actually mail merged letter to SCC from the (separate) Lord Lieutenant's Office AND any other correspondence in the time frame given.
The Lord Lieutenant's Office FOI is here, it differs and needs to be answered by them.

Dear Mr Orr
Freedom of Information Act 2000
Firstly I would like to apologise for not covering fully in your combined
request all of the questions you asked. This my my error. Somerset County
Councils FOI team dealt with your request for information that you made to
the Lord Lieutenancy office as all staff employed there are employees of
Somerset County Council so any information held by them is information
held by SCC.
I have attached the documents that were sent out by the office , replies
would have been sent to the Cabinet so you will need to request those
directly from them. Along with these is some additional text below provide
by Julia Knight.
The appointment of Lord-Lieutenant is indeed separate to Somerset County
Council and their reach is wider as their appointment covers the
ceremonial county of Somerset which includes North Somerset and Bath and
North East Somerset.
The Lord-Lieutenant may appoint whichever person they wish to be Clerk of
the Lieutenancy. In many counties the role is normally (though not
invariably) filled by the chief executive of the
county council. In practice the majority of the day-to-day work is
delegated to another/other employees of the local authority. In this
instance, Patrick Flaherty was appointed Clerk to the Lieutenancy and my
colleague,
One additional query (as a follow-up FOI question): One of the Somerset
MPs is saying that their office was not consulted. Do you have records of
consultation with all five Somerset MPs (Ms Pow, Mr Liddell Grainger, Mr
Heappey, Mr Fysh and Mr Warburton?
We do not hold this information. We have been provided with a list of the
Somerset MPs but any contact made was done so outside of this office.
I hope this provided the information that you are seeking.
