Alexandra Palace and Park Charitable Trust's Strategic Vision

The request was refused by Haringey Borough Council.

Dear Haringey Borough Council,

Access to Information Act 2000 (as amended)
Environmental Information Regulations

The Council is trustee of Alexandra Palace and Park charitable trust. You'll be aware that the ICO has now advised the Council about its duties as trustee under the above legislation relating to requests about the Alexandra Palace and Park, so there should be no problem about co-operating with this request.

Apparently the Trust has recently (within the past few years) produced a "Strategic Vision" for the charitable assets (Park and Palace), which includes a dynamic projects list, setting out the types of interventions it could make over the next 25 years. The projects range from location-specific projects (i.e. BBC Tower) to preferred uses (i.e. workspace) and general refurb/ redecoration projects. Perhaps surprisingly, the Charity has not to my knowledge made this public.

Please supply this set of documents or provide a link where they may be downloaded. Please note this request is made under both the above legislation.

Yours faithfully,

J O'Callaghan

Haringey Borough Council

Dear Mr O'Callaghan,

Re: Freedom of Information Act Request ref: LBH/8520419

Thank you for your request for information received on 14 March 2019, in
which you asked for the following:

The Council is trustee of Alexandra Palace and Park charitable trust.
You'll be aware that the ICO has now advised the Council about its duties

Apparently the Trust has recently (within the past few years) produced a
"Strategic Vision" for the charitable assets (Park and Palace), which
includes a dynamic projects list, setting out the types of interventions
it could make over the next 25 years. The projects range from
location-specific projects (i.e. BBC Tower) to preferred uses (i.e.
workspace) and general refurb/ redecoration projects. Perhaps
surprisingly, the Charity has not to my knowledge made this public.

Please supply this set of documents or provide a link where they may be
downloaded. Please note this request is made under both the above
legislation.

Dear Haringey Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Haringey Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Alexandra Palace and Park Charitable Trust's Strategic Vision'.

None of the online reports to, and of, these meetings appear to disclose this document.

Once again, the grounds for refusal appear to be the same as those in an earlier refusal of information by the Council relating to Alexandra Palace trust, a claim that this trust is a separate legal person from the Council (its sole trustee). This is an argument which the ICO has already expressly rejected: see especially paras 17 to 20 of

https://ico.org.uk/media/action-weve-tak....

It is regrettable that the council appears to be ignoring the principles of the above decision, which it assured the ICO that it recognized. This can only lead to wasted officer time and unnecessary expense to the council taxpayer.

Yours faithfully,

J O'Callaghan
