Dear Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust,

I would like to request the following information from you, on the grounds of the Freedom of Information Act. I am very interested in the Camden ward and alcohol dependency.

1. How many people are currently in treatment for alcohol dependency in the Camden ward?
2. What are the ages and ethnicities of these patients
3. How much did the treatment of alcohol-dependent related illness cost your trust from 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 (so far)?
4. How do these figures compare to the rest of the UK?
5. Finally, what is the current proceeding for treating alcohol dependency in Camden?

Please could you provide confirmation of this FOI request by emailing me back at this address.

Many thanks.

Yours faithfully,

Eve

Information, Freedom, Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust

Dear Ms Simmons,

Thank you for your request for information.

Clarification is required to respond to your request, as follows:

1. How many people are currently in treatment for alcohol dependency in the Camden ward?

Please confirm what is required by 'Camden ward'? C&I operate a number of inpatient facilities for the residents of both Camden and Islington. There is no delineation between Camden beds or Camden wards or Islington beds or Islington wards. Does the requestor required Camden resident patients into C&I commissioned beds?
Secondly, please can you confirm how you would like to identify alcohol dependency? Please provide the appropriate ICD10 code(s) for this condition.

2. What are the ages and ethnicities of these patients

Response to the above query is required to answer this question.

3. How much did the treatment of alcohol-dependent related illness cost your trust from 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 (so far)?

As above

4. How do these figures compare to the rest of the UK?
5. Finally, what is the current proceeding for treating alcohol dependency in Camden?

Please note that, the Trust are not obliged to comply with your request for information, until we receive your clarification of the above requests.

Kind regards
