Air Conditioning Inspection Report Environmental Compliance Audit (commonly known as an ACI TM44)

The request was successful.

Dear Castle Batch Primary School Academy, Weston-super-Mare,

This request relates to Environmental Legislation, specifically TM44 Air Conditioning Inspection Reporting, which is mandatory for buildings which are air conditioned above a statutory minimum size. Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government track offenders.

Q. Who is the responsible person for ensuring that your buildings are legally compliant on the TM44 mandatory environmental matter? Provide the name, position, address, email address and direct telephone number of the responsible person.
Q. All reports are mandatorily lodged on MHCLG database. No reports are currently lodged or are out of date for your School, you are therefore non-compliant. Has your Governing Body been made aware of this breach?
Q. Air Conditioning and Air Handling Systems may cause increased risk of Covid-19 spread, have you covered off the issue, along with TM44 Inspections, in any Return to Work Risk Assessments?
Q. Provide the name and email address of the Board Principal.
Q. Do you teach your Pupils about the environment?

Yours faithfully,

Jessica Thomas

Sarah Gibbon,

Further to your recent request, I am replying on behalf of Castle Batch
Primary School Academy.

Q. Who is the responsible person for ensuring that your buildings are
legally compliant on the TM44 mandatory environmental matter? Provide the
name, position, address, email address and direct telephone number of the
responsible person.

Mark Antoine, Chief Operations Officer & Chief Financial Officer, The
Priory Learning Trust, Queensway, Weston-super-Mare, BS22
6BP, [1][email address], 01934 511411.
Q. All reports are mandatorily lodged on MHCLG database. No reports are
currently lodged or are out of date for your School, you are therefore
non-compliant. Has your Governing Body been made aware of this breach?

Systems at Castle Batch Primary School Academy are not of a sufficient
size to require TM44 inspections, hence no reports have been logged.
Q. Air Conditioning and Air Handling Systems may cause increased risk of
Covid-19 spread, have you covered off the issue, along with TM44
Inspections, in any Return to Work Risk Assessments?

Air conditioning equipment was taken into account when carrying out the
school’s Covid Risk Assessment, as required by the Department of Education
and the Health & Safety Executive.  In accordance with their guidelines,
the air conditioning equipment was switched off and only natural
ventilation was used.  A later amendment to the guidance did allow for the
use of air conditioning equipment, and the school adopted a policy that
air conditioners were only to be used to condition a space (if required)
prior to occupancy.
Q. Provide the name and email address of the Board Principal.

Chair of Trustees: Katie Dominy, [2][email address]

Chief Executive Officer: Neville Coles, [3][email address]

Q. Do you teach your Pupils about the environment?

Yes

Best Regards
Sarah Gibbon
