Aileymill Primary School, Greenock - "Inspiring Future Leaders"

The request was partially successful.

Dear Inverclyde Council

Aileymill Primary School in Greenock has been running a course for their pupils called "Inspiring Future Leaders" with the help of Fiona MacNeill Associates.

My questions are as follows:

1) How many children are there in the years taking the course (P6&P7, I believe, but stand to be corrected)?
2) How many of those specific children participated in/are participating in the above course?
3) Were those children chosen to participate?
4) How were those children chosen?
5) Are there any other schools in Inverclyde running this or similar courses?
6) Although this course is indicated to have been run free of charge (Fiona MacNeill, I believe, being the sister of the Depute Head of Aileymill Primary School, but stand to be corrected), have there been any charges for this/these course/s since the "free trial"?
7) If there have been any charges for these courses, please give a breakdown per school and per child.
8) Would you please furnish me with the words to the entire poem (three verses or more) used/created by the children, which was performed in front of parents, called "Three Of Me" and begins "Who are you? We are three. Transactional analysis is the key ..."?

Yours faithfully

J McArthur

Dear Sir / Madam

Please find below our response to your recent FOI request.

Aileymill Primary School in Greenock has been running a course for their
pupils called "Inspiring Future Leaders" with the help of Fiona MacNeill
Associates.

1)      How many children are there in the years taking the course (P6&P7,
I believe, but stand to be corrected)?

This activity took place in 2014. AT that time there were 90 pupils,
combined, in P6 and P7.

2)      How many of those specific children participated in/are
participating in the above course?

All P6 and P7 pupils took part.

3)      Were those children chosen to participate?

N/A – all took part

4)      How were those children chosen?

N/A – all took part

5)      Are there any other schools in Inverclyde running this or similar
courses?

The programme has not been run again and has not been run in any other
school in the authority

6)      Although this course is indicated to have been run free of charge
(Fiona MacNeill, I believe, being the sister of the Depute Head of
Aileymill Primary School, but stand to be corrected), have there been any
charges for this/these course/s since the "free trial"?

There was no cost involved in delivery and the course has not run again

7)      If there have been any charges for these courses, please give a
breakdown per school and per child.

N/A

8)      Would you please furnish me with the words to the entire poem
(three verses or more) used/created by the children, which was performed
in front of parents, called "Three Of Me" and begins "Who are you?  We are
three.  Transactional analysis is the key ..."?

As this took place in 2014, there are no copies of the poems and songs
which the children created.

I trust that this assists with your enquiry. Please find attached a copy
of our review procedures, should you require them.

Best regards
