Aid being provided to frontline EU member states in relation to Syrian refugee crisis
Dear Department for International Development,
The Home Office recently responded to a petition on the government's own petition site with an email that included the following statement,
"the European countries in which they arrive have a duty to provide adequate protection and support to refugees within their territory. The UK stands ready to provide practical support to those frontline Member States who are experiencing particularly serious pressures"
Does DFID hold data on financial and logistical (and any other) support that has been provided to frontline EU Member States as described in this statement? In particular would be Greece but I would be pleased to be informed of any support provided to any EU member country that has been receiving large numbers of refugees in the recent 'Syrian Crisis'.
Yours faithfully,
Rob Davidson
