AI usage academic integrity
Dear Cardiff Metropolitan University,
I am carrying out research on Unis and their AI misconduct usage statistics. Please provide the following statistical information for the last three academic years (or from 2022 onwards if easier):
How many students have been formally accused of academic misconduct related to the use of AI (e.g. ChatGPT) in coursework/module work?
How many of these were found guilty?
How were they found guilty?
How many failed the module as a result?
How many were removed from their course as a result?
Can you please provide any guidelines/processes that staff must follow?
In addition:
How many lecturers or academic staff have been reported or accused of using AI to generate course content (e.g. lecture slides, assessments)?
How many staff members have faced any disciplinary action in relation to this?
If available, please break this down by academic year.
Yours faithfully,
Isaac H
