Ages of those Buried & Cremated in 2023

Section 8(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 states that a request for information must include the requester’s real name.

The ICO guidance states that if the requester:

• fails to provide a name;
• can’t be identified from the name provided (for example because they have only used their first name or initials); or
• is using an obvious pseudonym,

then their request won’t meet the requirements of section 8(1)(b) and will technically be invalid.

Can you therefore resubmit your request and provide me with your full name please?

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST FOI001-5555

We refer to your email dated 14 December 2023 which contained a request
for information as set out in italics below.  Firstly, please accept our
apologies for the delay in responding to you.  Following consideration of
your request, in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I
respond to each point as follows:

Under the Freedom of Information Act, Please provide the ages of those
buried or cremated between January 1 2002 to December 31 2023.

If you could ideally group the ages in the following order.

1 - 4 years

5 - 19 years

20 - 34 years

35 - 49 years

50 - 64 years

65 - 79 years

80 years and over

The Council does not hold the information by age for the years 2002 to
2016.  Please see attached document which shows the information which is
held by the Council. 

I hope this response satisfies your request. If you are dissatisfied with
the handling of the request, under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 you
have the right to request a review of the Council’s response to your
request for information.  If you wish to request a review, please write to

email] .  Following ICO guidance, a request for a review must be made
within 2 months of a response being received.
