Dear Movya Makambwe

I am writing in response to your request for information below.

As I understand it you are seeking to know:

1. Provide the number of qualified social workers supplied through
recruitment agencies, analysed by Children and Adult services

Overall there are 25 qualified social workers supplied through
recruitment agencies.
Children's = 15
Adults = 10.

2. Provide information on the number of in-house residential units, day
care centres and supported living settings currently using agency care /
support workers, their locations, also analysed by Children’s and
Adult Services
Childrens - 4 residential/care/respite units all located in Hillingdon
which currently use agency staff.
Adult - We have 3 Supported Living Units, 5 residential units for
people with learning disabilities, 3 day centres for people with
Learning disabilities all located in Hillingdon and which use agency
staff at times depending on specific service need.

3. Advise which of question 2 are expected to be closed in 2012?
Childrens - nil
Any plans for service reprovision affecting these services is contained
within the Disabilities Commissioning Plan 2011 - 2015 which was agreed
by Cabinet on the 26/01/12.
