We're waiting for Shaju Jos to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Kent County Council,

1. Do you currently have preferred suppliers list or master vendor contract in place for Agency staffing for your Care & Nursing Homes and supported living?
2. If you have a Master Vendor for your Agency Staffing, please could you provide their contact information?
2. If you have a contract in place, when will this be due for
renewal and what is your process for announcing, advertising and
applying for this opportunity?
3. If you have your own "In House" Service, do you ever spot
purchase to support this service and would the service ever be put
out for tender?
4. Do you have any intention to review the existing provisions in place for your Agency staff supply?
5. What is the council's annual spend on outsourced staffing agencies for your Care & Nursing Homes and supported living?
5. What is the name and contact details for the procurement and
placement officer who is responsible for this service?
Thank you so much in advance for your co-operation

Yours faithfully,

Kent County Council

Dear Sir or Madam

Thank you for your request for information made under the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA) 2000, relating to Care & Nursing Homes. I am
pleased to provide the response below:

1.    Do you currently have preferred suppliers list or master vendor
contract in place for Agency staffing for your Care & Nursing Homes and
supported living?

Yes we use C2K for our in-house care centres/services.

2.    If you have a Master Vendor for your Agency Staffing, please could
you provide their contact information?

The first point of contact for C2K is Helen Lock
([1][email address]).

3.    If you have a contract in place, when will this be due for renewal
and what is your process for announcing, advertising and applying for this
opportunity?

This contract is not due for renewal as it is part of the overall contract
with Commercial Services.

4.    If you have your own "In House" Service, do you ever spot purchase
to support this service and would the service ever be put out for tender?

No, we get all our agency staff from C2K.

5.    Do you have any intention to review the existing provisions in place
for your Agency staff supply?

No, but all supply organisations are potentially able to join C2K’s
framework, depending on meeting C2K’s criteria.

6.    What is the council's annual spend on outsourced staffing agencies
for your Care & Nursing Homes and supported living?

Nursing & Residential Care - Older People (aged 65+) - Residential

- In house service 970,852.58

Supported Living - Learning Disability (aged 18+) - In house service
9,521.04

Social Support - Carers - In house service 167,428.82

1,147,802.44

7.    What is the name and contact details for the procurement and
placement officer who is responsible for this service? This does not
operate with a placement officer, the registered managers send a

requirement to C2K and they ring round and source the workers.

If you are unhappy with this response, and believe KCC has not complied
with legislation, please ask for a review by following our complaints
process; details can be found at this link

you wish to pursue this course of action, are available from the
