Thank you for your request for information dated 7 June 2021 concerning Abingdon and Witney College. This request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
I am able to provide information as follows:
From 1st August 2020 to date, we have spent a total of £25,494.64 with agencies. £20,208.64 was for fixed term Business Support Staff and £5,286 on Curriculum staff. No permanent introductory fees have been paid to date.
We are withholding the amounts spent with each agency and the departments involved because we consider that the exemptions in the following section(s) apply:
Section 43 exempts information which, if disclosed would be likely to prejudice the commercial interests of any person. It protects not only the commercial interests of third parties but also the commercial interests of the College. It is intended to protect the ability of a public body to obtain goods or services on the best possible commercial terms and to protect the legitimate commercial interests of its supplier. This is especially pertinent during a tendering process as any response can be seen as providing a commercial advantage to one potential supplier.
