Dear NHS Improvement,

I have noticed the following request for agency expenditure, agency shifts and bank shifts broken down by staff group for January, February and March 2020: https://www.england.nhs.uk/publication/f...

As an adaption to this FOI, please could you provide the following information for 19/20 (April 2019 – March 2020), split by quarter (Q1 April-June, Q2 July-September, Q3 September-December, Q4 January-March).

• Agency expenditure for 19/20 by quarter and staff group
• Bank expenditure for 19/20 by quarter and staff group

Please advise if this is not available and what could be provided as an alternative.

Yours faithfully,
James Allen

Dear NHS Improvement,

I have noticed that the four week time frame to respond to the FOI has now passed. Please could you provide an update on the progress of this request?

Many thanks
James Allen

Dear FOI (NHS ENGLAND & NHS IMPROVEMENT - T1520),

Many thanks for providing the information regarding Agency and Bank spend in 19/20. I was wondering, are you able to provide a figure for gross pay spend for all trusts in England in 19/20 please?

Yours sincerely,

James Allen

Dear FOI (NHS ENGLAND & NHS IMPROVEMENT - T1520),

Thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate that this figure can be found via trusts individual annual accounts. I have noticed that NHSI publishes a consolidated version of all 19/20 annual accounts: https://improvement.nhs.uk/resources/nhs...

Are you able to let me know when I could expect the 19/20 publication of the consolidated accounts please?

Yours sincerely,

James Allen
