Request for Information - 2017/15472 - After school childcare

I refer to your request for information received on 25/08/2017. Please see
the information below in response to your request: -

1. Based on the most recent update of the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment
for your local authority area, and any other relevant data available,
please indicate whether there is sufficient childcare for school-aged
children, after school.

Please see the attached Childcare Sufficiency Assessments.

2. How many after school clubs/programmes were operating across the local
authority area in each of the following academic years? How many places in
total were offered across these after school clubs?

Please reply for as many years as possible of the following years, with
priority to later years:

2010/11

2011/12

2012/13

3. In your local authority how many after-school clubs are run by (a)
local authorities, (b) schools, (c) the PVI sector and (d) others?

4. How many of the primary schools in your local authority are served by
an after-school club that picks up from the school or is based there? If
possible, please express this as a fraction of the total number of primary
