The most recent information update of the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment
(Annual Update 2015/16) did not focus on childcare for school-aged
children, after school. However, from public enquiries made to the
Families Information Service, the general feedback suggests that there is
sufficient childcare provision for school-aged children after school.

2.     How many after school clubs/programmes were operating across the
local authority area in each of the following academic years? How many
places in total were offered across these after school clubs?

We do not have information available regarding which afterschool clubs
pick up from schools, however, there are 20 afterschool club providers
based on school sites. There are 44 maintained primary schools and 18
independent schools with primary aged children.
