This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Please provide me with the following information:

(1.) The total number of Afghans that were housed in temporary accommodation in your local authority as of April 2023 after being resettled under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy scheme or the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme.

(2.) The total number of Afghans who were housed in temporary accommodation under either of the above schemes in your local authority who are now owed a homelessness prevention duty or relief by you.

(3.) If possible, please tell me how many of (2.) are children.

(4.) The total number of Afghans who were housed in temporary accommodation under either of the above schemes in your local authority who the council have prevented or relieved from homelessness.

Thank you for your Freedom of Information requests, which were received by
both South Oxfordshire District Council and Vale of White Horse District
Council, logged under 23/540 (South) & 23/453 (Vale). Please note that the
two councils operate as a shared service hence this joint response.

Under Section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the 2000 Act) you
are entitled to be informed in writing whether the council holds the
information specified in your request and, if that is the case, to have
that information communicated to you unless any of the statutory
exemptions apply. I have considered your request and can confirm we do
hold some of the information asked and I do not believe that any statutory
exemptions apply to your request. Please find below the information you
requested:

(1.) The total number of Afghans that were housed in temporary
accommodation in your local authority as of April 2023 after being
resettled under the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy scheme or the
Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme. South = 0. Vale = 7 (1 x household)

(2.) The total number of Afghans who were housed in temporary

you are not satisfied with the decision I have made in response to your
