I would be most grateful if you would provide me, under the Freedom of
Information Act, details in respect to the questions below:
• Do you have an AED in place at the moment? If yes, how many?
• Is there an annual service contract for the AEDs? If so, with whom?
• How many of your locations/sites have AEDs and how many do not?
• What are the contractual performance KPI's for this contract?
• Suppliers who bid for this contract and were successful and not
successful at the SQ & ITT stages
• Start date & duration of contract?
• Could you please provide a copy of the service/product specification
given to all bidders for when this contract was last advertised?
• Is there an extension clause in the contract(s) and, if so, the duration
of the extension?
• When is the current contract due to expire?
• Who is the key decision maker for the purchase of AEDs?
• Can you please provide the email contact details of the key decision
maker for the purchase of AEDs?
• Do you intend to purchase or upgrade your AEDs in the next 3 to 5 years?

• Which brand(s) of AED is currently used by your organisation?

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST
Thank you for your request for information received on 14th August. We
acknowledge your clarification received on 21st August that these
questions relate to all council properties. We have considered your
request and enclose the following information:
(1) Do you have an AED in place at the moment? If yes, how many?
There are records of 145 AEDs in CCBC work locations.
(2) Is there an annual service contract for the AEDs? If so, with whom?
No
(3) How many of your locations/sites have AEDs and how many do not?
There are 143 premises in CCBC listed as having AEDs. We are unable to
report on premises that may have had an AED donated or fundraised for them
and not informed our Health and Safety department. There are 34 occupied
buildings that currently do not have an AED and 84 buildings that we hold
no information on. We have only counted occupied CCBC premises that are
used for CCBC business purposes, we have not included premises that are
leased out or used as domestic dwellings in these totals.
(4) What are the contractual performance KPI's for this contract?
Not applicable
(5) Suppliers who bid for this contract and were successful and not
successful at the SQ & ITT stages. Start date & duration of contract?
No contract in place as we purchase directly from the NHS.
(6) Could you please provide a copy of the service/product specification
given to all bidders for when this contract was last advertised?
It was not tendered previously but purchased via an existing arrangement
with the NHS
(7) Is there an extension clause in the contract(s) and, if so, the
duration of the extension?

First aid policy does require Managers to consult with Health and Safety
on number and types of unit they have at their premises to ensure
consistency

Information not held. Each premises manager would make this decision.
