Sportscotland received your FOI request and has provided a response,

Please provide copies of any guidance or other resources that
sportscotland has published on how grassroots and amateur sports clubs and
associations should approach transgender inclusion. Please provide copies
of advice provided to such groups and associations regarding their
responsibilities in relation to Section 22 of the Gender Recognition Act
2004.

 

Some of this information is otherwise accessible and therefore is exempt
from disclosure in accordance with sections 25(1) and 25(3)(a)(i) of the
Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.  Sportscotland is therefore
refusing to respond to part of the request, in accordance with section
16(1) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

For information, sportscotland does not have a stand alone policy on
transgender provision within facilities. The guidance we provide is about
ensuring facilities are inclusive and where facility providers may have
specific concerns, they have access to a network of partners with
expertise as well as resources to provide the relevant and appropriate
guidance at a local level.

 

Finally, sportscotland has not produced specific advice relating to
section 22 of the Gender Recognition Act 2004 for clubs and associations
regarding transgender inclusion in sport.  Therefore, sportscotland does
not hold this information, in accordance with section 17(1) of the Freedom
of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (information not held).
