Advertising of introduction of Additional HMO Licensing requirement
Dear Tower Hamlets Borough Council,
This request relates to the "London Borough of Tower Hamlets Council Designation for an Area for Additional Licensing of Housing in Multiple Occupation 2018" ("the Designation") that was made on 31 October 2018 and came into force on 1 April 2019 to require properties (within the specified area) that are occupied by three or more people in two or more separate households to be licensed.
Please can you let me know what steps you took on what dates to advertise:
1. the consultation on the proposed Designation;
2. the making of the Designation;
3. the coming into force of the Designation.
As well as giving the dates of advertisements placed in independent and Council papers and circulars, please can you say whether you posted or hand delivered letters to any privately owned properties in the designated area?
Please can you provide a copy of the form of advertisements and letters you used?
