Dear University of Reading,

Can you please send me a general breakdown of your annual spending, and the details of spending on marketing and advertising (including staff costs and overheads etc).

Please send me these details for the last four financial years.

I would be grateful if you could send me the most detailed annual breakdowns you have available for marketing and advertising expenditure.

Dear Mr Killock,

Thank you for your email.

We had taken your request for information to be relating to 'advertising and marketing' specific budgets only and breakdowns as referring to the yearly expenditure including those areas, apologies if this was not the intended interpretation.

I can look into whether those totals can be broken down further to separate out 'staff costs and overheads' , though could you please confirm specifically what breakdown you seek (avoid using 'etc' if possible).

Please be aware that specific breakdowns (on marketing activity based levels) may be difficult to locate within the 18 hours and may engage exemptions as being commercially sensitive to the University, though I will let you know if this is the case.
