3. What is your management framework for selecting providers and what is your criteria?

4. Who is responsible for ensuring the framework is suitable?

5. How many providers do you contract with for Adult’s home care services and are they internal/external?

6. What is your performance management framework for monitoring the performance of providers?

7. Is there currently (or has there been in the last 12 months) a shortfall of Adult Care provision?

8. How often in the last 5 years have you re-opened a closed ASC framework contract due to Provider inadequacy or failure?

9. How do you encourage or work with new enterprises/businesses such as care providers, with a closed framework and no spot provision?

domiciliary care providers commissioned to deliver Adult Social Care
services and what are their start/end dates

There is a spot purchase strategic partnership in place.  Commencement
date was 1 April 2018 with an end date of 31 March 2023.  There is a 2
year option to extend (+1, +1). 

 

3.                   What is your management framework for selecting
providers and what is your criteria?

A full tendering exercise was undertaken to appoint to the strategic
partnership.

 

4.                   Who is responsible for ensuring the framework is
suitable?

Adults’ Commissioning and Quality and Care Placement. 

 

5.                   How many providers do you contract with for Adult’s
home care services and are they internal/external?

There are currently 8 external providers in the strategic partnership.  We
do not have any internal home care providers. 

 

6.                   What is your performance management framework for
monitoring the performance of providers?

Contract monitoring and annual service review undertaken by Quality & Care
Placement

 

7.                   Is there currently (or has there been in the last 12
months):

a) shortfall of Adult Care provision? No

b) How is this shortfall being addressed? N/A

 

8.                   How often in the last 5 years have you re-opened a
closed ASC framework contract due to Provider inadequacy or failure?
None. 

 

9.                   How do you encourage or work with new
enterprises/businesses such as care providers, with a closed framework and
no spot provision? This is being looked at as part of a wider market
development piece.  The option of direct payments is open to people to
purchase care from providers outside of the partnership. 

 

10.               What is your process for placing new Adult Care
providers on your spot providers or approved providers list (if such
exists)? The Care Placement Team use CM2000.  Package offer are open to
all and there is no preference criteria.  

 

11.               How much (per hour) do you currently pay private
providers?

The average rate is currently £15.68.
