Please provide the following information.

1. Do you have any policies that require the Local Authority to consider residential placements for adults receiving social care support funded by the council when providing support in the community is more expensive?
2. What social care support services have you put in place to reduce the likelihood of someone entering residential care, and ensure they can continue to live in their own homes?
3. How much money have you spent on adult social care support for people who live in the community over the last five years? please provide breakdown for people of working age and older people.
4. How many adults with care and support needs received social care support in their own home or in the community? Please provide breakdown for people of working age and older people.
5. How much money have you spent on residential placements for adult social care over the last five years? please provide breakdown for people of working age and older people and provide a separate figure for out of borough placements.
6. How many adults with care and support needs received support in residential placements over the last five years? Please provide a separate figure for those placed in facilities outside of the local authority.

No we don’t have a policy, we consider circumstances on a case by case
basis

reduce the likelihood of someone entering residential care, and ensure
they can continue to live in their own homes?

We provide a comprehensive homecare service including night support in
exceptional circumstances, to enable people to remain in their own homes.

 

3. How much money have you spent on adult social care support for people
who live in the community over the last five years? Please provide
breakdown for people of working age and older people.
