Adolescent to parent violence and abuse.

The request was successful.

Joshua Sargeant-Maynard

Dear Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary,

As a student social worker undertaking a research proposal, can you kindly advise me:-

If the HMICFRS require police forces and constabularies to record crime or incidences of adolescent to parent violence and abuse (APVA)?

If not how are law enforcement authorities evaluating risk to the victim from their abuser?

How are we informing government policy regarding this form of domestic violence?

Yours faithfully,

Joshua Sargeant-Maynard

Dear Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary,

Does the HMIC collate data regarding the incidences APVA to inform government policy and safeguarding of members of the public?

How are we informing government policy regarding this form of domestic violence?

Does the HMIC expect constabulary and police forces to separately record incidences of APVA or do they believe sufficient to merely record the incident with no specification either in domestic violence or assualt?

Yours faithfully,

Joshua Sargeant-Maynard

Yours sincerely,
