Admissions with and because of NCSC and ICCE qualifications

The request was successful.

Dear Bangor University,

According to http://icce.education/information-for/un... you have admitted one or more students to your institution (in this case, for marine chemistry) with an NCSC or ICCE qualification.

Could you please provide two pieces of information:

1 - The total number of students admitted with an NCSC or ICCE qualification.

2 - The total number of students admitted BECAUSE they had an NCSC or ICCE qualification (as opposed to other experience or qualifications).

Yours faithfully,

David Waldock

Our Ref. FOI1219

Dear David Waldock

Further to your request for information under the Freedom of Information
Act, the University’s response is below:

1 - The total number of students admitted with an NCSC or ICCE
qualification.

1.

2 - The total number of students admitted BECAUSE they had an NCSC or ICCE
qualification (as opposed to other experience or qualifications).

An applicant would not be admitted solely because of these qualifications
(applicants holding the ICCE / NCSC qualifications would be expected to
hold other relevant qualifications to support their application).

Please note that the University has a formal complaints procedure. If you
are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your request
and wish to make a complaint or request a review of our decision you
should write to the University’s Planning & Governance Office in the first
instance ([1][Bangor University request email]) explaining the grounds for your
complaint. In line with guidance from the Information Commissioner’s
Office, an appeal request must be submitted within two months of the
University’s final response to this Freedom of Information Act request.

Kind regards,

Compliance Team
