Admissions for A100 Medicine through clearing

H Zyss made this Freedom of Information request to Cardiff University Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

Cardiff University did not have the information requested.

Dear Cardiff University,

I would like to request data regarding the clearing at Cardiff University for the A100 Undergraduate Medicine and Surgery degree for the last three application cycles:

1. the number of applicants to the medicine course through clearing;
2. the number of clearing interviews given;
3. the number of students who were successful in obtaining a place through clearing;
4. the average GCSE grades, A-Level grades, and UCAT scores of the successful applicants.

Finally, is contextual data taken into account when assessing applicants, and how is this used? And, is an applicant affected in anyway if they have already been rejected pre-interview in the same cycle?

Yours faithfully,

H Zyss
