Dear Sarah,

Further to your recent request for information I am writing to advise that
the University is unable to identify the information required in relation
to your request without further clarification.

To help the University respond I would be grateful if you could confirm
the following details as highlighted in red below:

I would like the annual admissions data (by year) for the following
and would like it in the format of the table specified below:
Column: Year: 2012 2013 2014 2015
Rows:
1 Total admissions
Please specify the level of course to be included (Undergraduate,
Postgraduate or all). Would you also like short courses, courses taught at
partner colleges to be included?

2 Total Admissions to Art subjects.*
The Art subjects below are not based on our courses. In order to provide
the precise data which you are seeking,  it would be helpful if you would
tell us which courses listed on our website you would like included
otherwise we cannot be confident we are including/excluding the right
courses. By way of example, no courses match ‘Media’ specifically. If we
report all courses containing the word ‘Media’, then we get the following
‘Digital Media Kingston, Digital Media, Media and Cultural Studies, Media
Skills’. Some of these are not in the ‘Art’ genre and are more Social
Science. We also have a number of courses that are offered in joint
honours.

3 Total Admissions to further education courses.**
4 Total Admissions to further education courses in Art subjects***

Definitions outlined below:
1) Total admissions for all subjects / courses.
2) Admissions to Art subjects. *This includes any course which
includes the following subject area: Art and Design, (Creative)
Media Production, Photography, Graphic Design, 3D Design, Media, Creative
Media Production, Fashion and Textiles, Music, Performing
Arts. See note for question 2.
3) Admissions to further education courses. **This includes any
Diploma, Extended diploma, Access to higher education diploma,
level 3 diploma, BTEC, HNC, HND or foundation degree.) Foundation degree
(in our data) is level 4 and 5 and therefore not FE in our system. Should
we report foundation degree numbers here anyway?

4) Admissions to further education courses in Art subjects ***Art
Subjects definition as specified at point 2). This includes any
Diploma, Extended diploma, Access to higher education diploma,
level 3 diploma, BTEC, HNC, HND or foundation degree. See note to question
3.

Please note that if we do not receive clarification from you within three
months from the date of this email your request will be considered closed.

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards,

Lyn
