Admission statistics for ISPP and Economics 2020 and 2021 cycles.

The request is waiting for clarification. If you are Donna, please sign in to send a follow up message.

Dear London School of Economics,
I would like to ask for the number of offers and applications sent for the BSc International Social and Public Policy and Economics course at the LSE. I appreciate if you could show the number A*s, As and Bs the successful applicants had at GCSEs and A levels. What did the standard offers looked like in 2020, 2021 cycles for home and overseas students?

I had 3A*s, 2 As and 4Bs in GCSES and my A level predictions are A*AAA. Are my grades considered weak for the course?

Yours faithfully,
Donna

Thank you for your email. As you will appreciate, information requests
place additional demands on the School in terms of costs and staff time.
At present we are having to prioritise our finite resources in order to
meet the unprecedented challenges we are facing during the Coronavirus
(COVID-19) pandemic.  As such, we need to advise you that while we will
continue to process individual requests, you may experience some delay in
our response during the current pandemic.

Dear Donna,

With regards to your recent FoI enquiry, as you have only identified yourself by your first name please can you supply appropriate proof of your correct identity, such as a scan of your passport of driver's licence.

I am seeking this information as there is a possibility that we may exempt some of the information you have requested. In such cases, it is important that we are able to refer to your real name in order to allow you to request an internal review or ultimately complain to the ICO if you choose to do so, as both the LSE and the ICO do not accept first-name only requests in their tribunals. Please note: This information will not be retained once your identify has been confirmed.

Could I ask you to think about the underlying question that is prompting your data request. If you are attempting to find out what are your chances of getting a place, remember that this cannot be answered by reference to data. Applications are considered on their individual merits, based on a holistic view of your supporting documents in the context of the current cohort. Figures from previous years will not offer any insight on your application. Your best way to find the answer is to apply. However, please let me know if you wish us to proceed with obtaining the information requested.

Best Wishes,

Bhavika
