3. Weightage of ukcat , GCSE, CBSE CLASS 10 performance and personal statement for
shortlisting of interview(non Eu overseas applicants).
The University Of Exeter Medical School does not rank or score the personal statement as part of its
selection process. The Medical School will take into account information provided within the
Personal Statement and reference, particularly where this reveals extenuating or mitigating
circumstances which may have affected academic performance.
Candidates will be selected according to their predicted or achieved A Level or equivalent
qualifications as well as their performance in the UCAT. We do not employ the use of GCSEs or CBSE
CLASS 10 performance in our interview shortlisting process.
4. Weightage of ukcat , GCSE performance, personal statement and interview performance
for offer(non EU overseas applicants).
The interview scores will be the final determining factor as to whether an offer is made. Candidates
are awarded a Yes or No judgement by each of the 7 panellists they see and offers will be extended
to those who achieve the highest number of Yes judgements. Should there be a large pool of
candidates performing to the same level, the Medical School may refer back to UCAT performance
to select candidates.
5. Are applicants with a higher situational judgment band score at an advantage during
shortlisting or to distinguish between equal candidates?
No, The University of Exeter use the overall total as a cut-off, and not individual sections.
6. How many applicants with less than 9 GCSE subjects were given offers ?
Aside from a pass in English, all other GCSE subjects are not considered in the offer.
7. How many seats were there for non EU overseas candidates in 2020 ?
The University of Exeter had 5 places for Year 1 International students in 2020.
8. How many offers were given to non EU overseas candidates in the last five years?

10. What is the average number of A* at GCSE level for international non EU overseas
applicants that were shortlisted for interview in the last five years?
The University of Exeter does not collect/keep complete records of GCSE qualifications.
