Admission Statistics for 'Financial Mathematics and Statistics' and 'Maths, Stats and Business'

The request was successful.

Dear London School of Economics,

For the courses:
Financial Mathematics and Statistics
Mathematics, Statistics and Business

I would like the data for all applicants, broken down into Home and International Students in the respective 2017, 2018 and 2019 entry.

For applicants who had the following predicted or achieved grades only when applying:
Predicted or achieved A* in Maths and third / fourth subject but A in Further Maths
1. Number of people who applied to each of the courses
2. Number of offers made to each of the courses.

Yours faithfully,
Sean Lee Wei Sheng

Dear Sean

Further to your FoI enquiry, with regards to your criteria "Predicted or achieved A* in Mathematics and third / fourth subject", I would like to clarify if you actually mean: "Predicted or achieved A* in at least two a-level subjects, one of which is A-level Mathematics, and where A-level Further Mathematics is not one of these subjects" or are you seeking something else?

Best Wishes,

Paul

Dear GLPD.Info.Rights,
To clarify, this is what I meant. The A* must apply to all the subjects that the applicant is offering, one of which must be Mathematics. However, the applicant must also have Further Maths as one of their subjects, but have only managed to score an A in it.

For example
Applicants offering 3 subjects,
A*A* (one of which is Maths) and A in Further Maths
Applicants offering 4 subjects,
A*A*A* (one of which is Maths) and A in Further Maths
And so on with 5, 6... subjects etc.

In other words, applicants with predicted or have achieved straight A*s (must have taken Maths) but an A in Further Maths

Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Sean
