Your request was received on 22 March 2025 and I am dealing with it under the terms of the Freedom 
of Information Act 2000 (‘the Act’).  
 
You asked: 
 
Following the request "FOI 2022 575 Hu", I would like to request the following information 
regarding the admission of postgraduate course (G100) in China. For each applicant who's 
domicile is China applying to G100, please provide the following data for last six years (2018-
2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023, 2023-2024,2024-2025). 
- The course that they applied to 
- Whether or not they received an offer 
- The course that offered them a place (if they applicable) Please also can you provide the data 
in excel in a format like Applicant ID | Admission cycle | course applied | Offer made (Y/N) | 
College that made offer | Accepted (Y/N) 

 
The requested information is attached. Some suppression has been applied to prevent the risk of any 
individual being identified. In presenting the information in this way, the University is engaging the 
exemption at section 40(3A)(a) of the Act because the release of the raw data would breach the first 
data protection principle (the fair, lawful and transparent processing of personal data) as set out in the 
UK General Data Protection Regulation. This part of section 40 confers absolute exemption under the 
Act. 
 
If you wish to request an internal review of this response, you should contact us quoting the reference 
number above. The University would normally expect to receive your request for an internal review 
within 40 working days of the date of this letter and reserves the right not to review a decision where 
there has been undue delay in raising a complaint. If you are not content with the outcome of your
