Dear Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council,
In accordance with The Freedom of Information Act 2000 I would like to make a Freedom Of Information Request. I would like the answers to be sent electronically please.
1. How many requests has Trafford Council received pertaining to 'admission of children outside their normal age group' from parents of summer born children regarding entry into reception class at compulsory school age for the school years 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 respectively?
2. How many of these requests (for entry into Reception at Compulsory School Age) have been granted for the school years 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 respectively?
3. How many of these requests (for entry into Reception at Compulsory School Age) have been refused for the school years 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 respectively?
4. How many of the granted requests (for entry into Reception at Compulsory School Age) had SEN for the school years 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 respectively?
5. How many of the granted requests (for entry into Reception at Compulsory School Age) had Medical Issues (without a SEN) for the school years 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 respectively?
6. How many of the granted requests (for entry into Reception at Compulsory School Age) were for no other reason than the child was summer born for the school years 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 respectively?
7. How many requests for entry into Reception at Compulsory School Age, are still under consideration, or going through the complaints process for the school year 2018-2019?

In the 2013 admission round = No applications were received
In the 2014 admission round = No applications were received
In the 2015 admission round = No applications were received
In the 2016 admission round = One application was received
In the 2017 admission round = Six applications were received
In the 2018 admission round = Four applications were received
2. How many of these requests (for entry into Reception at Compulsory
School Age) have been granted for the school years 2013-2014, 2014-2015,
2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 respectively?

In the 2016 admission round = One application for delayed entry were
agreed
In the 2017 admission round = Four applications for delayed entry were
agreed

Children with a Statement of Special Educational Need or an Education
Health Care Plan do not apply through the School Admissions Process.
Where it was deemed appropriate for a child with a Statement or EHC Plan
to be educated outside the chronological year group this would be detailed
in the Statement or Plan
5. How many of the granted requests (for entry into Reception at
Compulsory School Age) had Medical Issues (without a SEN) for the school
years 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018
respectively?
All the granted requests were done so in the best interest of each child
6. How many of the granted requests (for entry into Reception at
Compulsory School Age) were for no other reason than the child was summer
born for the school years 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and
2017-2018 respectively?

7. How many requests for entry into Reception at Compulsory School Age,
