I would like to request the following information under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act, 2000.

Could you please tell me the number of undergraduate applications from black British students to your University, broken down by academic year, for the years commencing 2012-2017?

Could you then further tell me how many of those applications were successful in each year?

black British students to your University, broken down by academic year,
for the years commencing 2012-2017?

·  "black British" defined as:

o Someone with any of the following Ethnicity values in the University’s
system:
Black or Black British - Caribbean
Black or Black British - African
Other Black Background

o Nationality or second nationality of "British citizen"

·  "Successful" has been defined as any applicant who received a
conditional or unconditional offer from the University, irrespective of
whether they later met the conditions of their offer or whether they
accepted or declined their offer

·  The numbers shown include all applications to the University
(undergraduate, postgraduate, PGCE etc).  If an applicant has submitted
multiple applications they will be included in these figures multiple
times (once per application).
