I am writing to kindly request the following information regarding admissions to Undergraduate Medicine in the following years; 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 for school leavers.
Can you clarify how each of the elements of the selection process are weighted to arrive at an offer of an interview
GCSE results
Predicted grades
UCAT score
personal statement
For each year – the number of applicants, number of interviews offered and the number of places offered
The Threshold GCSE results for those who were called for interview in each of the requested years
Did you use a threshold UCAT scores for those who were called for interview in each of the requested years. If not, what was the lowest UCAT score for whom was called for an interview
Do you accept applications from school students who sat A levels in 2021 who achieved the required A level grades for entry?

confirm that the information requested is held by the University of
Bristol (the “University”).

I can confirm that the University does hold the information you have
requested. However, it is exempt from disclosure under section 21 of the
Freedom of Information Act because it is reasonably accessible to you by

There is no threshold, other than ensuring applicants met the minimum
entry requirements as stated in our prospectus for each year
Do you accept applications from school students who sat A levels in 2021
who achieved the required A level grades for entry?
Yes, applicants are welcome to apply after achieving their grades and will
be considered in the same way as an applicant offering predicted grades in
their application.
Internal Review Procedure
If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, then you have a
right under Section 50 of the Act to request an internal review. All such
requests must be sent to us within 40 days, and must clearly state our
reference number (at the top of this email) and your reason for requesting
an internal review. We will aim to respond to your request for an
internal review within 20 working days of receipt.
