Dear Mr Thomas
Information requested under the Freedom of Information Act (FoIA)
Further to our email of 12 June 2013, I can confirm that we have handled
your request for information about the cost of conducting an approved
driving instructor (ADI) check test within the terms of the FoIA.
The ADI Registrar was asked at a recent presentation how much the check
test cost; the estimated cost he verbally provided was not based on
recorded information. FoIA only obliges us to consider releasing recorded
information and does not require the creation of new information to answer
an FoIA request. Therefore the requested information is not held.
If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your request, you should
ask for an internal review by contacting the Information Compliance
Manager, at the above address.
Yours sincerely
Information Officer
