Additional Funding by Parental Contributions
Dear Accrington St Christopher’s CE High School,
Please can you detail the extra funding your academy raises through parental contributions? (in GBP)
The total number of parents contributing, broken down into;
the number of parents contributing to each funding "level"
Also a detail of how that parental funding contributes to the academy.
Yours faithfully,
R Waring
Dear Mr Waring
Thank you for your request under the Freedom of Information Act. You are
requesting information about:
1. Extra funding your academy raises through parental contributions?
(in GBP)
2. The total number of parents contributing, broken down into the
number of parents contributing to each funding "level"
3. Also detail of how that parental funding contributes to the
academy
In responding to this I have to make it clear that the Academy does not
receive extra funding from any parental fundraising. Parental fundraising
remains completely separate from the Academy. Information of this nature
is not held by the Academy, therefore it is not within the remit or
ability of the Academy to respond in any more detail under the Freedom of
Information Act.
I must stress that parent funding is managed by parents in separate bank
accounts and these are not part of the Academy funding nor does the
Academy receive funds from these accounts to contribute to funding the
Academy.
On this occasion I will not issue a fees notice.
Thank you for your interest in St Christopher’s CE High School.

Dear St Christopher's
Perhaps I could clarify the request.
The information requested is NOT regarding fundraising BY parents; this request it is to do with the contributions made by parents to the school.

I understand that the school runs "gold, silver, bronze" contribution levels, this is the focus of the request
Yours sincerely,
R Waring
Dear Pam Haralambos,
For clarfication, are you then suggesting the academy asks parents to contribute money to the academy at various levels of funding either Gold, Silver or Bronze level of contribution, and this money does not go towards the academy funding to support the pupils who have contributed that money?
Yours sincerely,
R Waring

To be clear are you suggesting the academy has no knowledge of the identity of the parents whom have contributed to this separate fund, nor the level/amount contributed?
