Additional costs and effect on enrolment
Dear Cardiff and Vale College,
Could you please give me statistics regarding "bench fees", by which I mean additional fees other than course fees which must be paid before a student can enroll. Specifically, I am looking for statistics on how many students were required to pay such fees and whether they did so before enrolling in their second year of study or whether they subsequently failed to pay the fees and were unable to enrol. I would like the information in a format so that I am able to see the figures (and differences) for those students who were in receipt of Educational Maintenace Awards at the time.
Additionally, I would request this information for as many years as you hold it.

Cardiff and Vale College do not have any learners that fall into this category.
I believe the term bench fees is used in England and is a term we are not familiar with in Cardiff.
We do everything we can to support learners into their learning and to progress with their studies, we do everything we can to break down any barriers so that learners succeed.
