Additional Capital Maintenance Funding Award 2016/17

The request was successful.

Dear City of Glasgow College,

I refer to the 2016/17 document Announcement of additional capital funding for colleges in FY 2016 from the SFC.

http://www.sfc.ac.uk/communications/Anno...

With enclosures

http://www.sfc.ac.uk/web/FILES/Announcem...

£10 million had been allocated to the further education (FE) sector to support the upgrade and maintenance of college estates.

The additional funding brought the total maintenance element of FE capital funding for FY 2016-17 to £25.6 million.

This additional funding was awarded to maximise the effect of this capital maintenance budget from public funds being invested into your college estate, therefore can you please advise the most pressing needs of college estate at the time of the announcement, and inform me of the project(s) bids and or projects and approximate value(s) that had initially identified, for which you planned the additional funding is to be spent?

Please advise me of the actual projects and values that your college used this additional capital maintenance funding award?

Thank you in advance for your timely response in electronic format.

Yours faithfully,

John Gallacher

Dear Ann Butcher,

Thank you for your prompt response, however I am astonished that GCRB did not allocate your college any of the additional funding that was afforded the region.

Under FOISA, can you please advise if your college requested or put in a bid for a proportion of this additional capital maintenance funding?

Please detail the projects and amounts requested?

An electronic format of your response is requested.

Yours sincerely,

John Gallacher
