1. How many times has the HSE visited this site?
2. Was/is there an independent well inspector associated with this site?
3. Were the HSE aware that this site is unmanned?
4. How many wells have been drilled?
5. What is happening at the site now- are wells being dewatered? are they producing gas? Is this being fed into the national supply?

Your request was received on 29^th April 2014 and I am dealing with it
under the terms of the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
I can confirm that the HSE holds the following information as disclosed
and answered below:
1. Doe Green Site has been visited by the Health and Safety Executive
on one occasion whilst the Geometric Drilling Rig HH102 was on location.
2. I Gas Energy have a well examination scheme in place as required by
“The Well aspects of the Offshore Installation and Wells (design and
Construction etc.) Regulations 1996. These regulations require the well
operator to have an independent and competent well examiner in place to
review their well operations. [These regulations also apply to wells
drilled onshore in the UK]
3. It is not unusual for a Borehole Site to be unmanned and operated
remotely. Emergency shut-down systems are in place and alarm systems are
remotely monitored. During daylight hours the Borehole Site is visited on
a regular basis for maintenance and monitoring purposes.
4. Four wells have been drilled – One pilot hole for logging and coring
and three multi-laterals.

5. Of the four wells that were drilled two are available for gas
production when dewatered. The produced gas is used for onsite power
generation which is fed into the national electricity grid.
